This thriller at least contained some interesting history - think Brother Cadfael meets Da Vinci Code. A brother is sent on a mission by the Pope to discover the secret treasures that the templar knights have hidden along the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. Along the way he picks up his illegitimate son, a Jewish lover, and uncovers various clues hidden in architectural features of templar churches. Suspension of disbelief is clearly required to stomach the plot, but good Spanish practice.
