This kind of understated style of writing always really appeals to me, where I feel like reading between the lines and the reader's intuition is very important. I'll be reading all of her books I can find- thanks for this book Mom!

Patricia I am so glad you enjoyed this book - it isn't even my favorite, so....you have more pleasure in store. She does remind me of Jane Austen, very proper and ladylike but with a discerning eye and killer wit. She's one of those writers I definitely would have liked to pal around with,

Which are your favorites? I reserved some through the library but will have to look up which ones.
