I picked this book up at a second hand book store. I was in the mood for action adventure, and I read about three-quarters before I became tired of it.

The secondary characters were nicer than the protagonist, well, perhaps more believable, I should say. The sub-plots were also more interesting. The author has obviously taken the dictum of 'drop your characters into one after another difficult situation, preferably simultaneously' to heart. There is such a thing as taking it too far, though.

On the end I yawned as yet another situation arose, more of the same ad infinitum an nauseum.

Also, if I had to read another sentence beginning like this: "And then suddenly...". Also too many "immediately"'s and too many exclamation marks.

Once I feel like whipping out my red pen, I may as well leave the book. So I did.
