The Midnighters discovered a new darkling that is a mix between a human and an old creature of the past and they tries to reveal their plans. This book was similar to the first book but with some new twists. It wasn't as good and entertaining as the first. But overall, it was still a good book because it did made me want to finish the book. It took me a while because i did not have much time each night to read. Some parts of the book were very predictable and some made it more unrealistic than it already was. The author uses very descriptive language and it sometimes starts to get boring because a scene is constantly being vividly described that you just want to move on. It is an easy reading because the wording are meant for all people and it is not sophisticated.
