The book is about 11 women who started their friendship in childhood and have remained friends for 40 years. It starts out pretty slowly, trying to give a bit of history on each of the women, and then it picks up when it starts to take a look at why friendships are so important to women. It was a moving work that had me turning down the pages a number of times with little tid-bits that really rang true.
