Recommended for: college freshmen, ubermensches, guys with goatees who hang out at starbucks staring at women
Read in August, 1996

my college boyfriend was a philosophy major who only wore black and listened to industrial music. he bought this for me and i read it outside on my parent's deck in three days when i was home for summer vacation. i thought that it was brilliant and revolutionary, just like my 19-year-old boyfriend. then i grew up. i should re-read it sometime. there are most likely some enduring strong qualities to it, but ayn rand fans are usually really annoying and trite (see also: nietzsche fans).
