really liked it
bookshelves: read-in-2013, sci-fi, young-adult
Read from January 24 to 27, 2013

I thought the first two books were sort of iffy, but Shades of Earth totally sucked me in.
In both of the other books something gets revealed that changes everything the characters were originally led to believe. But in this one, everything gets a makeover.
The plot seemed to move faster in SoE than it did in the previous books, as well. I'm not a fan of slow and steady, so that probably helped me enjoy it more too.
Gimmie some action!
I don't think I would have recommended these books before, but now I feel like the other two were worth reading just to get to this one.

Revis left enough of an opening that she could write more stories from this world if she wants to, and I'm kinda hoping that she does. I'm also looking forward to reading more of her stuff, because if Shades of Earth is any indicator, she seems to be gathering steam as a writer.
