Some of the writing was a little self righteous and heavy handed for me though, and many of the "Pearl" sections at the end needed only Wally and the Beav to be complete in their idealism.

Here are some of my favorite lines to use with the kiddos:
What do you think about that? What do you plan to do about it?
[Behavior:] is a hassle to my eyeballs (or hurting my ears).
I love you too much to argue with you.
This whining is draining my energy.
Good thinking.
Let me know how that works out for you.
I'll have to think about that [consequence:] and get back to you. Try not to worry about it.
Well, it looks like things are not going well for you right now. When you're ready to talk I'll be glad to listen.


Hopefully writing those out will help me remember to use them. My apologies to anyone who actually reads this boring review.
