I could've handled less witty, and fewer topics, if we could have gotten a little more depth on the topics. (Why do I like depth so much?) The "reports" are fun to read, but frustratingly short.

Apparently it seems like a bunch of the mini-essays already appeared elsewhere and were compiled together here, so this book's like an anthology collection. Great.

Look, I really really wanted to enjoy the book, and I did at first, but it kept skimming the surface of things. I just would've loved to read more, rather than scooping the cream over and over again and leaving the lower-fat parts out to dry. Instead, it just starts and ends with a bunch of bon mots. How funny! How cleverly written! The amusing witticisms trick you into thinking you've read something meaningful when in fact, there was barely anything considered substantial.

Well, at least it gets you thinking about the current state of this country and how it came to this sorry point. Which is kind of ironic that this is the good part of the book.

Oh and sorry, I meant mislead. A trick is something a whore does for money.
