really liked it
Read from July 15 to August 09, 2014

While I think the author's other title, "Your Inner Fish," was better, there was still plenty I enjoyed here. I like how he didn't just stick to paleontology and geology but got into other areas, like astrophysics and chemistry. The author did well in moving from one topic to the next, mixing in just enough history and background to maintain a consistent story.

My favorite parts dealt with the discovery and understanding of tectonic plates and continental drift as well as how the Earth's climate works to regulate itself (prior to human impact) and the cycles it goes through.

I do feel I got more out of the latter half of the book than the start but it was still enjoyable throughout and I would recommend it if asked.
