_Tender Morsels_ compelled me to grab some more Lanagan; however, I got through only about half of the stories in _Black Juice_. They don't really seem to gel as a collection, and it took me a frustratingly long time to situate myself within the world of each new story. Still, strong, lyrical prose. And the first story was so heartbreaking, I found myself crying in the Brookline Bruegger's.
