I read this book right now because my dad loves Dickens, and he urged me to read this one after I told him how much I didn't like David Copperfield, so here I am giving Dickens another chance.

This book was a lot more engaging and interesting than Copperfield was. Plenty of wit and interesting characters, which certainly were not lacking in Copperfield, but where this book trumps Copperfield (so far) is that it has a better, more engaging PACE.

It also has an actual point to the story, with actual themes and symbolism. To put it bluntly, money doesn't bring happiness.

Great book.
