It's always exciting when a favorite author starts a new series, but also a bit worrisome. There was no need for worry though because Angel's Ink blew me away. I loved the characters, the world and the writing from the first page. Jocelynn Drake brought this new world to life for me. The characters are complex, witty, and smart. She didn't hold back in this first full length story of the series. Sometimes an introduction to a new series will tease the reader to the point of frustration, but Angel's Ink gives us insight into the characters and their situations without leaving us hanging. It's solid urban fantasy much like The Dresden Files, but fans of paranormal romance will love it too. If you like Kim Harrison, Vicki Pettersson and Karen Chance I think you'll truly enjoy Angel's Ink.
