A collection of essays by the author who wrote for Vanity Fair, among others, and died of cancer while her two children were young. The essays in the first section are all in-depth profiles of famous people. Some were more interesting than others. I enjoyed the second section, which were more personal essays, quite a bit more. The third section, which concerns her cancer diagnosis was great if sad.
