This was totally good, definitely liked it. The only issue is that this is one of those trilogies were the first book is 100% set-up. You meet a bunch of characters, and then just as things start getting interesting, you have to wait 2 years for the next book to come out.
Duey's website doesn't say much about when the next one is coming out, which is disappointing.
But anyways about this book. It's about magic, but even more than that it's about class & social structure, which is SUPER interesting and an awesome thing for there to be a magician & farm girl-related book about.
