In this addition to the Joe Pickett series, Joe is reassigned to Jackson Hole after the sudden suicide of one of his colleagues. Frought with political intrigue, doubts about the suicide and egotistic businessman transfer to this resort area is fraught with mystery and danger. As Joe works to balance aspects of his personal life and this new job he becomes mired in politics of this wealthy town unconering some very unsavory characters.

As usual, CJ Box does a good job in keeping up the suspense, describing the beauty of the area and developing the character of the protagonist.
