Jeffrey Robinson gained access to one of the world's greatest hotels. This is the story of his five months there, shadowing the staff and management. Many tales are recounted, from the planning of an official state visit, to the catering of a Royal banquet, and the night manager's series of crises.

I would recommend this book to someone who wanted an easy not very challenging read.
There's a lot about the work practices & staff relations - the waiters annoy the Chef who annoys the Food & Beverage Manager!. Good book if you want to know what Princess Diana had for lunch & how a banquet is organised for the Queen.
