The story itself is good. It's a true story about a woman coming to terms with losing her mother to cancer. The relationship between the mother and daughter is beautiful and touching. But in between these sad and happy scenes are interspersed a lot of facts about birds. If you are interested in birds and a good story this book is perfect for you, but the facts were too much for me, and really slowed the story down. I found myself skimming a lot of those parts. Williams creates some beautifully tragic images and it is nice to read a Utah artist, but it's not one of my top books.
