I can see why the kids like this. It's not something (*ahem* Harry Potter) where I agonize over reading every single word, but it's definitely a fun and inventive series. The writing style kind of drives me crazy for some reason I can't quite pin down, but I enjoy it despite that. This one had me giggling outloud, especially when Grover was pretending to be a bride wearing goat perfume. And it definitely makes me want to read the next ones in advance of the final one coming out in May. Plus, it's so fun to say that I'm reading "Percy Jackson and the Olympians Book 2: Sea of Monsters". I think my boyfriend enjoyed that bit as well.
