a friend sent me a you tube
of kelly reading the essay which she included in her soft cover edition of THE MIDDLE PLACE.

kelly loves words. that's apparent. and she tells the truth of her experience with candor that
should inspire anyone who uses a writing practice as a way to personal growth and discovery.

years ago i read the back page of a first time author's book. it claimed something like,
"i didn't really become an author until the day that i didn't care at all what anyone thought of
my writing."

kelly has written her truth with the greatest concern for the beauty of the writing and the
authenticity of what she is expressing. i've already passed it along to a good friend. isn't that what
we do with our best books?
