it was ok
Read in March, 2009 — I own a copy

Delve into Nick Gautier (Squire gone Dark-Hunter) head a little bit. OK OK I get it, Nick loved his mother but geez, get over it already! I get really tired of all the characters taking it out on Ash. Nick was the one who got himself in trouble not Ash. And Ash didn't make Nick sleep with Simi nor did he kill Nick's Mom.
I can already see the writing on the wall - Nick the traitor is gonna do something really bad and stupid and Ash is going to have to hurt him... to be continued (I'm sure!)

message 1: by Missyb (new) - added it

Missyb It is part of Acheron's suffering, he gets blamed by many and what he says becomes what happens. He always mentions that he has to be careful what he says. He said that Nick should just kill himself, and it happened. It wasn't meant to be what was wanted, but it was said and it happened. Reading the beginning of Infinity touches on that.

Gloria Rene Smith Acheron is a god of fate and as such anything he says becomes fate. Just like he is bound by his promises or he will die.

Claudia Lisa, your review is exactly what I think on Nick. Can't keep reading any more of Poor Nick... Come on, man up...

message 4: by Chad (new)

Chad Mathias reading the "chronicles of nick" series... i got to know how precious his mom is to him... >.> i may even say it's more of a loss than anyone in the dark hunter series may have faced...

with how long it took for most of the dark hunters to get over their past... (they are still dealing with it after hundreds/thousands of years) i'd imagine that a new dark hunter would have to take a lot of time to grieve... also, don't forget... acheron didn't train him to bury his emotions like he did the other dark hunters. >.>
