This book was eclectic with culture... Ayla's first time with a cave of the Others. And although you feel frustrated for the main couple who can't seem to communicate through its entirety... it's certainly easy to relate to in my own relationships. Ask yourself, how many times have you had a misunderstanding with a loved one that went on for what seemed eternity? A very enjoyable read, full of ceremonies, visits to the spirit world, dreams, and filled with anguish. My heart was stolen by the mixed boy, Rydag, with a weak heart.
Couldn't put it down the first time, and have read it many times since then.
