A very enjoyable entry in the William & Hester Monk series. Monk arrests a man, Phillips, who promotes child prostitution and pornography, and the Monks' friend Sir Oliver Rathbone uses their testimony in court, and the reputation of the man who preceded Monk in his position as Commander of the River Police to get Phillips off. This causes great strain in their friendship, and as the Monks, in their different ways, try again to find Phillips guilty of something, other, very dark, secrets start to come to light. Execution Dock had a good pace, and the interactions and challenges between the characters was very interesting. Good ending too!
