I read this in an hour, exactly. The idea was intriguing, but poorly executed... the whole thing reads as a bunch of "She..." sentences with no more than a few words in them. There's a difference between YA and pandering to low level intelligence.

Maybe it's because I'm far out of the intended audience's age range, but the dialogue seemed dumb, the plot thin, and the action... well, action-less. There was a conflict, yes, but it was predictable and, again, thin.

I hope the movie is put together considerably better than this was. Neil Gaiman, I'm disappointed in you.]]>
