The first non-fiction leisure book I've read in a looooong time (thanks to Kindle for introducing me to new authors/genres!). I really really liked this one. About famous explorer Fawcett's search for "El Dorado" in the Amazon, and a reporter's mission to trace his tracks about 80 years later.

The reporter's story was laid out side-by-side with Fawcett's in alternating chapters, Fawcett's being pieced together from his journals and letters. It was a well done effect. Even better, there's even a bit of resolution at the end! I was worried it was going to be a big "we don't know!!!" at the end (what with it being non-fiction and all), but it was nicely resolved. Recommended.
