it was amazing
bookshelves: non-fiction, good-read-for-a-book-discussion

I cannot recommend this book enough. This true tale of friendship and fortitude begins with a look at the childhoods of these three men. They do not sugar coat their early lives, telling it like it was. They lived in a very rough neighborhood, and while in high school they became friends. It is here they made a pact to go to college and get degrees, something basically impossible from their economic standpoint. This is an inspirational story of perseverance in the face of many roadblocks. It makes you want to stand up and cheer.
