Fascinating survey and compilation of facts, studies, and wide-ranging information and conclusions about people who have achieved significant accomplishment in various areas from music to computer programming to sales. Gladwell debunks the trite theory that intelligence plus ability plus perseverance is the magic formula for success and has some fascinating evidence that other factors are often big players.

This book has been criticized for its supposed lack of originality and for the author's having cherry-picked facts to fit his theories. I maintain that anyone who can popularize a social science and get readers thinking and talking about things they might not have otherwise has done us a good service. I enjoyed this book tremendously.
