really liked it
Read in January, 2009

Precient. Written before full-fledged U.S. involvement in the Vietnam war. Supposedly the book was controversial in it's day. Excellent read. I don't recommend the 2002 film version with Michael Caine. I rented it right shortly after reading the book. Too many important things and characterization are lost in the adaptation.

Collin I'm always surprised when people know the word 'prescient.' Probably mostly because I don't know how to pronounce it.

Tyson pre-shent. right?

Collin According to dictionary.com, yes. But Webster says preh-she-ent.

Tyson I'll go with dictionary.com.
