My son was unhappy about the poor outlook for the characters, but we got through to the end. I'm not sure how he felt about the journey to Paradise part; he didn't say much. (I know that *I* didn't know quite what to do with that, myself, and I haven't re-read this one much, either.)

William Hey, Kristen—

If you and your son would like to start another series similar to the Chronicles of Narnia, you might try "the King of the Trees." It's especially good for boys. There are six titles in this series so far (seven this summer). People who enjoy C.S. Lewis seem to enjoy this series as well. Maybe I'm biased.

I wrote it.

Have fun!
