I never would have read a book narrated by a dog that is about car racing without the strong recommendation of my sister. I am so glad that she read it and gave it to me because it was excellent. I loved it. It was a very easy read from the beginning. The dog narrating is so witty and insightful. It made me want to get a dog. The paralells that he draws with car racing and life were very interesting and I have a new respect for race car drivers and the skill and stamina that must take. The thing I loved the most, however, was how good and true and honest the main character was. I won't spoil the book but it was uplifting and it made me want to be a more determined, kind, good, honest person who sticks to his values and dreams through all hardships. Very good!
