Great book. It is a difficult read because Kuyper wrote in the 19th century and because he was really really smart. But as you read you can see how Calvinism has been behind western ecclesiology, theology, politics, science, art, and social life. There are also glimmerings of what Van Til called Transcendentalism or Presuppositional apologetics. Kuyper also makes a good argument against evolution using God's sovereignty and the doctrine of election. A very good book. Take your time, read it carefully.
