Anna Dewdney wrote and illustrated several llama books that are wonderful and this one is no exception. The large drawn characters and solid colored backgrounds are pleasing to the eye. The story line is easy for the children to relate to. Poor baby llama does not want to go to bed without his mama. She promises to come up after she has finished a few of her chores but baby llama becomes worried when she does not come up shortly after. The words are simple and students from grades K-3 will enjoy reading it.
