If you were to choose one word that best described God, what would it be?
For me, that word is holy
...and that word choice has been constant since Christ rescued me a number of years ago. A somewhat recurrent discussion amongst friends sometimes pits the choice of 'holy' against the merits of 'love', 'glory', 'peace', 'ruler', 'creator', 'rescuer', etc. I've tried to explain the awful, compelling, transcendent, awesome truth of God's 'holiness', but generally fall into a chasm of inability. R.C. Sproul
in The Holiness of God
delivers that explanation with a stunning view of God's holiness that is biblical, sound, transformative, hopeful, convicting, and captivating.
