Okay... I've owned this book since it came out.. and I am exceedingly upset (angry, even) that this book is such a mess! And now I learn that the trilogy will now turn into 4 books. I am disappointed and I am afraid I'll have to sell the autographed books on eBay (where they may have actually been worth something had this book been as good as the first or at least equal to the second)... Sheesh!

What I've learned? Christopher comes of age during the writing of these books... and it seems his passion for waning recedes with his coming of age.

31.0% "Oh gosh, Paolini seems to be overwhelmed with himself in this book. The first of this supposed-to-be "Trilogy" was a very good book. The second was a good book, however it didn't show the maturing and personal growth I'd expect to see out of a young author who should be truly maturing not only as an author but as a human being. This 3rd book is taking a LONG time to finish. Much of the book is redundant overkill."
