Excellent. The characters are memorable and I felt very involved with them. I don't recall crying at the end of a mystery before, but I did with this one. I was fascinated with the bike messenger culture. I've seen some of these guys around the bike shops in Seattle, wished I could ride like them, been a bit awed by them. The writing in this book doesn't hit a single wrong note. I've liked all the Hoag books that I've read, but this was the best.
