The art style is not my favorite. I find that Whilce Portacio is an acquired taste who is best in small doses, but for some reason, it grew on me after a while. One thing that I found funny was that unlike most superhero comic book art, this book had a lot more crotch and butt shots of men instead of women.

The color art was really cool and you can tell that it wasn't an afterthought. The lettering wasn't anything overly unique but it was, when it had to be.

There are a lot of unanswered questions in this first volume and I am looking forward to picking up the next one. ]]>
