This was unpleasant reading. The style was mostly like an angry man venting. Frank often jumps to conclusions and takes things out of the perspective of context. Also, for a book about how conservatives rule, I find it very odd that he never mentions the late William F. Buckley, Jr. Intelligent and cultured conservatives are not in keeping with his theme, so he conveniently ignores them and just focuses on the likes of Jack Abramoff. He also seems to equate a change in government philosophy away from socialism with a destruction of government. Any privitization is evil, having great wealth is dishonorable. Everybody should be a government bureaucrat and live in a little brick house in the suburbs. Then life would be perfect again, you see...

I do take to heart the reminder that not all conservatives are honorable people and the fact that big business can be just as much a threat to our freedoms as big government. G.K. Chesterton would agree.
