My views of American politics have been affected by my time in high school in California (the economy teacher with the "Impeach Clinton" stickers all over his classroom), and the studying of Clinton's important speeches in highschool back at home. One was a look at someone who voiced his political thoughts in a way and a place that I had never encountered before. The other was a look at language and symbolism more than a view at actual politics.

However, I am always very careful in my thoughts about other nations politics and motives. It's hard to judge when you don't live in that country. Still, the US is too important not to have a real, serious interest in. And well, Obama, whatever you wanna say about him - the simnple fact that he was elected changed the world. And he will continue changing the world - I just don't know if he'll succeed in changing it the way he wants.

Anyway, this book, written before he was elected as Potus, gives an interesting insight into his political views on all kinds of subjects. What makes it interesting isn't really the content or his opinions - it's the way he describes where his opinions come from, what influenced him, what made him change his POV sometimes.
