really liked it
bookshelves: classic
Read in January, 1996

I thought this book was very interesting. It is written as though it were an investigation into the legend about there actually being a ghost in the Opera House in Paris. It is a little disjointed because it is written from first one person's testimony of what happened and then another's. It leaves a lot of questions and the mystery continues even at the end. You don't get personally drawn into it so that you are frightened as things happen, because of the format of the book--investigating something at a later time, but it is very intriguing.

For this reason I loved the book PHANTOM by Susan Kay about the same story. See my review.
