My favorite Wharton or second favorite, at least. New York life among the upper class and the women who want to marry into it. This one features an anti-heroine worthy of Becky Sharp in Vanity Fair. A plotting, scheming, exceptionally delicate and beautiful social climber Unadine Sprague, and men who get out of her way. She always wants just a little bit more. Fun.
