dick.
all jokes aside I was glad you read this first, I might try to enjoy some of his writing before I have the myth destroyed
Hehe. ;)
Yeah. Definitely. If I had it to do over I'd have waited until, at least, I had read the last few of his most famous books.

This book is great if you are at all interested in the life of Philip K. Dick. The pacing and structure of the writing is incredibly good, especially considering that so many biographies of artists seem to unfold like, "And then they did this. And then they did this." Le Carre is excellent.
However. I have two warnings.
1. This book should have been called Spoiler Alert. Do not read this until you have read all of Dick's books that you care to read without any prior information.
2. Philip K. Dick did some incredibly awful things. And some of those awful things informed his stories and characters. So even if you are usually able to separate the art from the artist, it gets a little messy.
