I really enjoyed this book. As usual, Bryson manages to package some keen and piercing observations about our world into a wonderfully humorous package. This is a bit nostalgic, but in an honest way that doesn't gloss over some of the tougher realities of America's past. Like many of Bryson's books, this is best read in small doses rather than one go, which can make his humor fall flat and his observations stale after awhile. Each chapter is self-contained, so enjoy it a bite at a time.
