This is the sequel to Brennan's Doppelganger. I was actually pretty shocked that I loved this book as much as I did, as the first one was wonderful and sequels are hard to write. I couldn't believe that the overall story deals with the very fundamentals of magic, politics within the witches' kingdom as well as other realms in their world, and mirroring the main character's own internal struggle, conflict and cooperation between the witches and the Hunters, highly trained mercenaries. I loved it. The ending however didn't suit to my tastes and make me want to know if there is going to be another one.
