A casual, yet poignant autobiography of a soccer-obsessed Northern Irish expat as he moves to and falls in love with New Orleans and one of the best bars in town (in my opinion), Finn McCools. FMFC tells not only Stephen Rea's story, but also those of his pub-team teammates before, during and after Hurricane Katrina, with refreshing insight into the storm and the recovery from it by someone "not from here." This book also goes a long to prove that New Orleans is just as capable of creating die-hard natives from non-natives just as much as ones that are born there. A great read.
