My first Nick Hornby book, though I've seen a couple of movies based on his books (About a Boy, Fever Pitch), but not the movie based on this one.

Highly enjoyable story that provides a peek into the male mind. As the wife of a music geek who experiences music in a way that I don't and has as extensive collection of tunes that don't interest me, I appreciated the insight into the protag's mind, and I also identified with the long-suffering girlfriend. The supporting characters were great, from the acidic Liz to the super-shy Dick to the bombastic Barry.

I want to see the movie now!
