So .... when this novel turned out to have a finely tuned, deeply woven, very confusing mystery running through it's story line, I was very happy that I got caught up in it. Aware that I didn't entirely understand what was going on but confident that the writing was so well done there wasn't a chance I would fail to understand by the end.

And I did.
