really liked it
bookshelves: audiobook

I rarely read nonfiction, but I am very interested in food, so I listened to this. It is one of the most thought-provoking books I've ever read, and will indeed make me change my ideas about food and the way I actually eat. I'm pretty conscious of food, I help grow it, I try to only eat organic, I freeze and can home-grown produce, but this book gives me impetus to work even harder at it.

Ellen Hi Sherry. If you liked this book, you might also like Barbara Kingsolver's Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life. Her husband and daughter also contributed to the book. I loved it. It's about the "locavore" philosophy -- their family experimented for a year with eating and drinking only locally grown products. Although it's nonfiction, it's a very easy and interesting read. I give out very few five-star reviews, but this book earned that in my view.

Sherry I have that book on my Kindle, and do plan on reading it soon. Thanks.

Ellen Good! I'll be curious to learn if you enjoy it as much as I did.
