I had my reservations because I've never read a zombie book before and I have fussy tastes re chick-lit and romances, the combination turned out to be brilliant.

Anyway, this book did not disappoint and is very entertaining. Sarcastic and of comedic value at times, but also containing decent in-depth character development and emotional coverage - it was nice to see how the characters resolved issues. Without spoiling, I think the way in which the couple dealt with the outbreak was pretty believable, and how that helped their marriage survive. The characters don't fit into the typical brooding alpha male and coquettish female roles and their journey was an interesting read.

It was pretty light and fluffy and reminds me of Lisa Lutz's style (The Spellman Files is amazing, full of sarcasm and entertainment).
