Barely remember this, but I know it was great. Recently discovered 2010 on my bookshelves, so time to re-read!

I'm not actually sure that I'd read this before.. If I did, it was very passively. Now, this time through, it all makes so much more sense than the movie! Can't wait to finish it, as am suspended in further confusions at the moment:
What did the Mars slab *make* them do? Why did there have to be a pretend mission for the space flight? What is actually going on with the ET'ers?

It all moves so slowly and all, and much of what was designed to fascinate no longer does (though it is amazing how correct some of it was, like the guy who can read newspapers on his computer - now that's fully non-remarkable). Looking forward to the next two as well.

And all the trivia questions I can do from this..

Still more questions than answers, but it does contain a lot of interesting ideas.
