I like Gorman's YA titles. This book is about three boys who are doing 'hard time' for their crimes. A man wants to create an intervention program that approximates a 'normal' home and school life and selects this unlikely- and untrusting- three to participate in his experiment. The story follows the boys as they struggle with the strait life and the responsibilities that many of us calmly shoulder. They must trust each other and be trustworthy or they will return to jail and disappoint their mentor--all completely new concepts for the boys.
